Opening Presents

While his bud Randy is holding on to his first guitar!

Rick Lally became a songwriter at age 13.

On Rick's 10th birthday, his aunt bought him a used guitar that she found at a garage sale. She refinished it for him and taught him a few chords. He wrote his first song at age 13 called 'Falcon Hill'. He finally recorded 'Falcon Hill' after so many years. It landed on his album 'It's High Time'. Let's just say it took awhile to get a decent recording of it! Rick wrote a song titled 'It's High Time' which was a more recent song that he wrote as motivation to get the music that he hadn't previously recorded finished, or at least on it's way!

As you look down the list below, it includes only solo albums releases. It starts with his most recent releases and works back to his oldest. He has copyrights for 142 songs, with probably another 20-30 still awaiting copyrights with probably another 20-30 that haven't made it to a full song status!

The chronology below doesn't include his work with Modern Eyes or 3 Bricks Shy.

Islands was released on June 27th 2023. Produced by Rick Lally and Brion Leftwich. It included songs with copyrights ranging from 1987 - 2023. Oh Woah and Desert Sun have been the stand out tracks on the album. Unfortunately this was the last album with the Brion Leftwich involvement, as he passed away in April of 2025. He was a goof friend, a great talent and is dearly missed!

Brion played lead guitar on Islands, Oh Woah, Desert Sun, Life is a Dream & Dance All Night. he played slide guitar on One of Those Daze. He also played bass on Islands, Desert Sun, Love is the Road, Straight as an Arrow, Life is a Dream, One of Those Daze, & Dance All Night.

The Blues

2/22/2020

Rick released the album titled ‘The Blues’ on 02/20/2020. Titled after the first song on the album. The album title has always been interpreted as being a blues album, but the song ‘The Blues’ isn't a blues song. Instead it has a somewhat tropical vibe and is more about feeling good under blue sky's! You can find it on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon and all those places.

There was a lot of awesome help while working on this album!

Brion Leftwich - Was instrumental in this project :) A major contributor in every aspect and a great talent! Brion played lead guitar & bass on Say Yeah, End of the Game, Love is a Powerful Thing, Here Comes the Night & She's Got the Moves. He also played bass on It Will Come Back to You, and BG Vox on several songs. We probably missed something, but It's all be listed on the album jacket (not many of those available).

Laura Lisbeth - Was immensely helpful with vocals and perspective on various songs. Check out  LauraLisbeth.com

Ronnie Lamendola - came in and helped out with Background Vocals on Say Yeah.

Jim (Big Jim) Chastain - added some low end playing bass on The Blues
